At DiME International School, our interdisciplinary projects are a cornerstone of our educational model.

Reviving Mexican Legends

One of our most recent interdisciplinary projects, held in celebration of the Day of the Dead, allowed students to explore Mexican legends and adapt them into theatrical performances filled with creativity and talent. Beyond learning about our cultural roots, this project strengthened artistic skills and promoted collaborative work. Each story came to life on stage, showcasing how learning can become a meaningful experience that transcends the classroom.

Creating Rube Goldberg Machines: Engineering Made Fun

Another standout interdisciplinary project was the creation of Rube Goldberg machines, where students designed systems to accomplish simple tasks in creative and dynamic ways. As part of the rubric, various types of motion were integrated: uniform rectilinear motion, non-uniform rectilinear motion, circular motion, parabolic motion, and free fall. Additionally, each machine had to operate for at least 20 seconds, adding an extra layer of challenge in terms of design and precision. This exercise not only enhanced their teamwork and innovative thinking skills but also allowed them to apply physics concepts in a practical manner. Each project stood out as a remarkable integration of science, creativity, and imagination.
